Washington Walz: Bad For Jobs, Bad For Business
WASECA, MINN. - With Washington Walz trying to whitewash over his dismal record on jobs, the Mike Parry for Congress campaign reminds southern Minnesota families that Congressman Walz has repeatedly opposed common sense reforms that would help job creators expand and begin hiring again.
"Washington Walz's photo-op is nothing but a desperate attempt to gloss over his real record on jobs," said Mike Parry, candidate for Congress. "Time and time again, Congressman Walz has rejected commonsense reforms that would allow our nation's job creators to start hiring again. Southern Minnesota deserves better than that."
Washington Walz's Real Record on Jobs:
- NO on the REINS Act: Voted to allow unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats continue to create costly regulations that have an economic impact of $100 million or more (Roll Call Vote #901, Dec. 7, 2011)
- NO on the Regulatory Accountability Act: Voted to let unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats continue to create new, costly regulations that are burdensome to job creators (Roll Call Vote #888, Dec. 2, 2011)
- NO on the Energy Tax Prevention Act: Voted against a bill that would prevent Minnesota families and their employers from being hit by a new, job-killing energy tax (Roll Call Vote #249, April 7, 2011)
- NO on the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act: Voted against a bill that would prevent the National Labor Relations Board from telling job creators where they can create jobs (Roll Call Vote #711, Sept. 15, 2011)
- YES to higher taxes: voted for the House Democratic budget that raised taxes by $1.5 trillion (Roll Call Vote #276, April 15, 2011)
